The Fit app for Google Android is updated with support for the estimate of the distance traveled and calories burned. It can also get a view of the historian of physics, grouped by days, weeks or months.



Android Application Google Fit  has received a major upgrade, which was already be available in the Play Store for all. Fit, as you may know, it is the suite of the Mountain View giant which collects data on health and fitness, being able to interact with other applications of health and fitness.

Google Fit has received support for the estimate of the distance traveled and calories burned With the new version. To be able to have this type of information from the app you must provide your gender, height and weight. Then, the application lets you know how you route each day and how many calories have been burned both during the day and during workouts.

And 'however you need to keep in mind that these are estimates , and nothing else, then Google Fit is not able to say with certainty what was the path and how much heat were burned. 

These above are not the only changes introduced with the update of Google Android Fit on 14 May. With the new version, you can also get a view of the historian of physics , scrolling down the timeline. All activity is tracked grouped by days, weeks or months.

Finally, Fit now has an own widgets and an extension to Wear Android (Google's platform for smartwatch). Both these changes will allow you to have a faster access to data, so you can see immediately with just a glance the status of achievement of fitness goals - and presumably be more motivated to complete them. 

Google Fit is designed to be the central repository for all data related to their health collected from accessories. The app automatically detects if you are on foot, by bike, or in activities.

Fit allows you to set and track fitness goals based on your activity levels and can be connected to other applications like Strava, Withings, Runtastic, Runkeeper, and Noom Coach. All information from these applications will be available in Google Fit, so there is no need of having to open multiple applications to control a certain type of data. Google Fit is also able to give advice based on the performance targets for activities.

Google Fit is compatible with Android smartwatch Wear, and there is a version to access the Web at google.com/fit. The app works regardless of device, on phones and tablets, and web in the same way.
