OnePlus Gets its new Android Update to Marshmallow

OnePlus starts its work one by one , and tends to update its devices. This time the company has announced its intentions to send out the Android 6.0 update to all the devices. This is a homemade build that's based on Cyanogen Mod version 12.1 Kernel, and the custom firmware is available via AOSP ROM.

HTC, Motorola, Sony, and Huawei have confirmed that they will release the firmware soon. But there is no official word from the company on when the update will be made available to the popular flagship smartphone OnePlus One.The co-founder of the company gave out the information on the official OnePlus forum. He also mentioned that the company will use the default Android 6.0 fingerprint scanner API for the OnePlus 2 despite requests to create a new one from scratch. This will mean that OnePlus will use most of the stock Android features with its implementation of Marshmallow. However, an industrious XDA Developer Forum senior member, who goes by the moniker 'updateing', has reportedly tweaked AOSP (Android Open Source Project) v6.0 Marshmallow, to make it compatible to the OnePlus One.

OnePlus One owners, who don't seem to be really patient, then can go ahead and flash the custom ROM to explore the all new features of Marshmallow. OnePlus 2 will also be getting its Marshmallow-sweeten Oxygen update through the first quarter of 2016 and the OnePlus X is also consent for Android 6 Marshmallow update, but its time frame is yet to be announced.

Its exciting to see the all OnePlus handsets to Marshmallow, but it will wonder if the update hits the sales and slashes the market.
