Android Lolipop update schedule for HTC handsets

HTC will bring Android 5.0 Lollipop to its flagship One(M8,M7) devices within 90 days of the software going live, which means we can expect to see it in the next three months. HTC said that the 2013 (now 18 months old) will be getting the bump to Android Lollipop in that timeframe and the newer One M8 will also get the patch.

• HTC One (M8), HTC One (M7) are the first to get Android 5.0, The Google Play Editions will get in late November-December while for Sense based devices it will be expected in January-February. 
• HTC Desire EYE, HTC One (M8) Dual SIM, HTC One (M7) Dual SIM, HTC One (E8), HTC One (E8) Dual SIM, HTC Butterfly 2 should receive updates in January-March. 
• HTC One Mini 2, Desire 816 more likely to get updates in March-April HTC One Max, 
• HTC One Mini, HTC Butterfly S – March-May.

HTC’s MediaTek processor powered handsets are still under evaluation, according to the source, and may or may not receive an update.

Sony and Motorola have also revealed about their Android Lollipop updates.
