HTC’s Double Exposure event kicks off later tonight in New York City. The event is scheduled for 01:30AM IST, and HTC will be live streaming the entire event.
HTC is expected to unveil the selfie-focused smartphone reportedly called Desire eye, and a GoPro rival called ReCamera. As mentioned above, the event kicks off at 1:30AM IST.
From what we know so far, the Desire Eye is shaping up to be a mid-range smartphone with a 13-megapixel camera at the front of the device alongside a dual LED flash. It is said to feature a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display with a pixel density of 423ppi, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 2,400mAh battery. Additionally, the smartphone will also have a 13-megapixel camera at the back.
As for the ReCamera, it is a “tube-shaped” 16-megapixel camera with a wide lens. It is tough enough for outdoor lovers and will rival a Gopro. It is also said to have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a companion app for Android and iOS devices.
