Microsoft announced Lumia Denim at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Lumia Denim is the latest firmware for Lumia handsets and brings a handful of new features.The firmware names go in alphabetical order, starting with A for Lumia Amber, B for Lumia Black, C for Lumia Cyan and now D for Lumia Denim.
Denim update is already available on the recent set of Lumia devices 730, 830, 930, 635 and the just announced Lumia 535.
Cortana: Now by saying the command "Hey Cortana" it launches Cortana which is pretty much similar to :Ok Google" in Android. Cortana is now coming to more countries(including India) and also supports bluetooth car kits, Snooze reminders and Calender improvements.
Live Folders: Apps can be organized by creating folders.Simply press, hold and drag an app over another to create a new folder on the Start screen.
Apps Corner: Create a customised Start screen, where only specific apps or games are accessible. This could be particularly useful in the workplace if you’re issuing Windows Phones to employees.
Lumia Camera: It will replace the Nokia Camera,Speed has also been enhanced for the camera by using the hardware button and software improvements. This should improve the speed of taking the phone out of a pocket to taking photos. "Moment Capture" now by long pressing camera button video is recorded at 4K resolution at 24FPS and later you can save high quality images from the video. HDR and Dynamic flash are also added to the camera.
Mobile Web Site improvements in IE: Connect and browse even faster with improved downloading speeds on mobile websites.
Store Live Tile (US only): The Store Live Tile displays featured apps and games that are the most popular in the Store, or most relevant for you.
