Cool Things about The new 12inch "Macbook"

Besides releasing the Smartwatches, Apple also surprisingly revealed the "New Macbook" during the "Spring Forward" event held in San Francisco. The Smartwatches range from $350 to whooping $10,000 and will go sale from April 24 2015. Apple also released the new laptop different from the other 2 models Macbook Pro and Macbook Air, It's called "Macbook" and it has some cool things to be shown off.So check out what the new Apple edition laptop offers.

Thin and Light

The Macbook is the thinnest and lightest laptop from Apple just weighing about 2 pounds which implies lighter than the Macbook Air. it's 24 percent thinner than the 11" MacBook Air, measuring 13.1mm in thickness. The absence of fan has also helped in the reduction of weight from the Macbook.

Pressure-sensitive Trackpad

The new trackpad is completely redesignrd which no longer has a top hinge to physically click down like the previous Macbooks. Instead of the mechanical click of past trackpads, you'll just get the feel of a click through haptic feedback. Which uses 4 Force Touch sensors that sense a range of pressure from the lightest click to a deeper press that Apple calls Force Click.

The lack of downward motion allowed Apple to shave space off the design. This seems to make the capacitive glass surface behave more like a touchscreen, too, expanding what the trackpad can be used for.

Redesigned keyboard

The keyboard, for example, uses a new butterfly mechanism for keys. It uses a single assembly that's four times more stable than a traditional scissor mechanism, While it covers the entire width of the machine, is 40 percent thinner than the last MacBook Air, but its key caps are 17 percent larger. Apple says the keyboard is shallower, but with a larger face for each key. Though the backlit buttons are indeed flat, and while they aren't cushy, they are still springy.

USB-C Port

Aside from a headphone jack, the new MacBook features a next-generation USB-C port, which handles charging and typical USB connectivity. (It's so thin a standard USB port couldn't fit!) The new ports will, of course, require new USB cables, but the faster 10 Gbps speeds should make the change worth it. Apple also unveiled two $79 dongles today that will add USB 3 and HDMI/VGA ports to the MacBook.
