The smartphone giant Xiaomi rolled out the Global Beta version of the MIUI7 OS on 24th of August.Since it is a Beta version, it is not stable and comes with many new features, interface tweaks, and performance improvements.
As per sources, the MIUI7 offers a 30% better performance and 10% more battery life than the previous OS version for an average user.Here are some of the notable features in the MIUI7.
There are four new additional inbuilt UI themes namely Rose, Pinkish Blue, Ocean Breeze and High Life.The app icons, menus and other graphic elements vary in these themes.Standard theme comes by default.
MUSE is a new theme creation tool, to customize and define the interface in the way you desire, complete with animations and dynamic content. Xiaomi says it already has around 15,000 themes available in the "MiStore".
We can also set the lock screen to display an animation of the current weather or replace the background with a new image everyday with the latest update.
There is another feature called "Showtime".It enables us to assign small video loops of around 5 sec to the contacts which are displayed when they call us instead of a static image.
It also offers XXL text options, which enable the interface to correctly display the larger text without disturbing the other elements.

Good news for MiBand users, a feature called "Auto Do Not Disturb" has been made available which turns off all the notifications when the tracker detects you're asleep.
They are also bringing upon their visual IVR service to India, which shows us menu options for more than 50 services when we call their customer care lines.Some of them available are for Snapdeal, HDFC Bank, Microsoft, Pizza Hut, McDonald's and Indian Railways.

A feature called Child Mode lets you segregate the apps which your children can use and can also restrict access to apps like email etc.
The new Baby Album feature recognizes the babies in the photos and groups all those pictures so you can easily flip them or view as a slideshow on your lock screen.
Xiaomi has also integrated with the Opera Max Data Saving feature which helps us to reduce data usage on mobile and WiFi connections on all the apps.
The Global-Beta version of MIUI7 was rolled out on August 24th for Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi4, Mi4i, Redmi Note3G and Redmi Note 4G. But it's unknown whether the MIUI7 is based on Android Lollipop only,or even on the previous versions.The company claims over 150 million users of the MIUI worldwide.
So, a lot of cool and awesome features have come along with the MIUI7. Being an MIUI user myself, all I can say is that Xiaomi has given us a treat and succeded in satisfying it's customers.Kudos to Xiaomi!!
