iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus announced with 3D Touch, rose gold finish and new cameras.

As said, Apple unveiled two of its masterpiece devices, the "iPhone 6S" and the "iPhone 6S Plus". Sure, it has a better camera, faster processor, and various other small improvements, but most people just think of it as an iterative update over the "real" new iPhone that comes with a new version number. But to think that this year would be a serious mistake. Yes, the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus look basically the same as their predecessors, but the changes Apple has made to the camera, processor, and even the basic build of these phones makes them something much more important. Even though they're cosmetically similar, the changes this year put these iPhones into a different category entirely.

iPhone 6S:

Apple firstly introduced the "S" version of its flagship device launched previously, the "iPhone 6S".The device pretty much comes with the same design as that of iPhone 6 but only with a couple of new and awesome features more. The most noticeable one of those is the "pressure sensitive display", which Apple calls the "3D Touch".This feature allows us to access new menus, activate shortcuts, and new interactions by pressing down on the screen.Apple's tactic engine is built into the phone to provide feedback.

The device,as expected, comes with a screen of 4.7 inches and now also comes in a new "Rose Gold" finish.

The phone is also said to have been built on a custom alloy of new aluminium, maybe to counterstrike the bending problems that came up with the iPhone 6.The device seems a bit heavier due to this.

The 3D Touch enables us with two kinds of features.Apple calls them "Peek" and "Pop".Peek allows us to press on app icons and other buttons to pull up shortcuts directing us to specific features. For instance, if we long press on the Camera icon, it offers a shortcut to directly take a selfie or a slo-mo video etc.Long pressing on facebook pulls up shortcuts like updating status, checking in, search etc.Pop allows us to pull up overlays of photos, videos, chats etc without actually having them take over the screen.Once you move away,u'll be back where you were.

This device is also running on the new 64-Bit processor, the Apple's A9.Apple guarantees a 70 percent better faster CPU performance and 90 percent faster GPU performance than the iPhone 6 running on the A8 processor.

This device comes with a 12 Megapixel rare camera and 5 Megapixel front camera. The rear camera also can record 4K resolution videos which is astounding. Also, it supports an improved autofocus in all cases. The lens still protrudes from the body of the phone.Apple has figured out a way to give a flash to the front camera. The phone's display just lights up really bright apparently up to three times brighter than it usually would. It'll also customize the color that it flashes to match the ambient lighting of the environment a photo is being taken in.

Apple is also introducing a feature called "live photos," which will capture a short clip of video(1.5 sec before and after) alongside every photo that you take. You can turn the feature off, but it's on by default, capturing a second and a half to both sides of every photo. A 12 megapixel image is still captured right in the middle. It's a pretty neat idea.

iPhone 6S Plus:

Well, the "Plus" version also shares almost the same features of the iPhone 6S but only with a 5.5 inch Retina Display screen. This device is covered with a tougher glass, which Apple claims to be the toughest in the industry. The features like 3D touch, live photos, Peek and Pop are also inherited into this device.

The new iPhone 6S will be available starting at $199 on a two-year contract, starting at 16GB of storage and going up to 64GB and 128GB for $100 more per tier. But most carriers are moving away from two-year contracts and over to payment plans now, so Apple is offering some of those, too. The 6S will be available for $27 per month. But there's another more interesting payment plan: for $32 per month, you can lease an iPhone and then return it for a new model every single year. It also includes the AppleCare+ warranty from Apple. Preorders begin on September 12th and sales start from September 25th.

The iPhone 6S Plus with 16GB will start at $299 on a two-year contract. That's $100 more than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6S, and the same price differential continues as you upgrade your choice of storage: the iPhone 6S Plus with 64GB will cost $399 and the one with 128GB will be $499. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models all get a $100 price cut and will continue to be available. Preorders and sales start similiarly to the iPhone 6S.

Here are some highlights of the device launch.

iOS 9 is also rolling out for some Apple devices on September 16th. A good news for other Apple users.
