21.5 inch iMac with 4K Retina Display

This device marks the inclusion of Retina Display into the 21.5 iMacs contrary ot the fact that earlier only a pair of 27 inch devices featured a 5K Retina Display.

This Retina 4K display features a 4096 x 2304 resolution that implies 9.4 million pixels' presence on the screen, which is 4.5 times the number of pixels present on the earlier 21.5 inch iMac (2 million pixels). The display also features a P3 based color gamut,Apple claims that it provides a 25% better and larger color space, leading to better image quality and detail.

This device basically comes with 5400 rpm hard drives. As an upgrade option, Fusion drives are available to buy at the time of purchase.Customers also have the option to completely replace the hard drive with complete flash storage for an extra fee.

This device runs on an Intel Broadwell processor integrated with Intel Iris Pro graphics subsystem in the standard configuration of 21.5 inch Retina iMac and discrete graphic processors are not used.

There are 3 variants available, the one with Retina 4K standard configuration is priced at $1499.The other 2 iMacs are priced at $1299 and $1099 with display resolutions of 1920 x 1080

27 inch iMac with 5K Retina Display

To start with, Apple has now made every 27 inch iMac a 5K display featuring one. This 5K display is also a lot better one as Apple claims it displays 25% more colours.Apple also switched to a new display technology powered "red green phosporous LEDs" which improve the reduction of reds and greens. This is also implemented in the 21.5 inch iMacs. This 5K display has a resolution of 5120 by 2880 pixels which implies 14.7 million pixels on the screen.

Also, the Haswell processors have been replaced by the Intel Skylake processors in this variant.Discrete AMD processors have also been integrated. There are 3 variants of the 27 inch iMac priced at $1799, $1999 and $2299.

Apple also released new "Magic" input devices. These are powered by the built in rechargeable Li-ion batteries. The devices have a lightning connector used for charging.Apple claims that a fully charged battery lasts upto a month. These devices are as follows:

Magic Mouse 2:

This Magic mouse 2 seems to a be a lot lighter and easier to use.Apple claims that this mouse has a smoother glide than the earlier Magic Mouse, Although, it is seeing the fewest changes. This is priced $79.

The Magic keyboard is seeing a significant change. The keyboard uses scissor mechanism for the keys. The keys are made slightly wider by reducing the sir gaps in between and make a satisfying tap as you press them. This is priced at $129.

Magic TrackPad 2:

All the input devices have faced a design change ans so has the Magic TrackPad 2.This device seems pretty good on the first use.The trackpad has a flat base and a sliding top.The device has also become wider taking a rectangular shape. There are features like Force Touch and the best thing is that you can touch it anywhere unlike the previous variant. You can press harder to perform a Force click which has different functions. This device is 29 percent larger than the older variant. But the thing which lets us down is the price tagged at $129 which is far expensive, almost twice the price of the older variant.

The Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Keyboard are included with the new iMacs and the Magic TrackPad 2 can be purchased separately available at the Apple Stores.
