iPhone Vs Android - Apple makes more revenue in a quarter from iPhone than what Google makes in its Lifetime from Android

It Sounds Something peculiar but yes it happens !!!
How a time period of around 3 months , can make more profit than a company's lifetime Revenue ?

YES, and its Apple which makes more revenue in a single quarter from iPhone ,than what Google's Android made in its lifetime. The ongoing lawsuit between Oracle and Google over the use of Java in Android is accidentally disclosing some confidential information about both the companies. Oracle is suing Google for using its Java software in the development of Android, which launched in 2008, without paying for it.

It has already been revealed that Google paid a hefty Apple $1 billion in 2014 to retain its position as the default search bar provider on iOS Safari, as well as a revenue-sharing agreement between the two companies in which Apple will get a percentage of the revenue that Google generates through Apple devices. In an effort to prove the commercial importance of Java as it pertains to Android, an Oracle attorney revealed that Android, since 2008, has generated $31 billion in revenue and $22 billion in profits for the search giant.

Google doesn’t really make or sell its own hardware. Almost all Android revenue is derived from the Google Play Store developer revenue share (like Apple, Google has a 70/30 split) or ads shown from Google’s phones. Apple’s highly successful hardware business is better stacked to give higher margins, and with higher margins comes higher profits.

"It highlights the fundamental difference between the PC and mobile eras. In the PC era, Microsoft generated more revenue and far more profit than any hardware company, including Apple" , John Gruber of Daring Fireball raises an interesting point. The iPhone during Apple’s last holiday quarter alone generated 165% more revenue than Android has ever generated for Google. Again, this is admittedly not an apples-to-apples comparison, but it truly goes to show where the real money in tech is to be had these days.

Who knows when the game show gets reversed, because Google is not going to hold this for long time.....
