Rumors are meant to be irritating ! But the rumors of technology hits the market very hard when it slashes the sales.Few weeks ago there was rumor of Sony with Toshiba to acquire its CMOS Sensor business , and now today Sony has confirmed its negotiation with Toshiba for this deal.The company's have a contract to complete the deal by the year ending March 2016.If the deal goes through further,then Sony will be having its Toshiba in Oita.
Sony announced recently that its image sensor business will be set up as a separate division and will be named as Sony Semiconductor Corporation , to increase the competition level inside the workers.The present contract with Toshiba will be considered under this new division & all the Fabrication facilities,equipment and workers of Toshiba will be set at its plant in Oita (Japan), to consider them also in this seperated division.As a result almost 1,100 employees working for this CMOS Sensor engineering and design work at the company.
Sony CMOS Sensor's are found in Google,Apple,Samsung,Motorola & some profusion of Chinese Smartphone company's .Even in Nikon also Sony Sensors are used for high-end digital cameras.Toshiba will considering the deal as a part of reconstructing their market status in which they amplify about $1.3 billion in earnings.The financial information on the future deal isn't disclosed yet and in an announcement Sony states that "The deal will allow Toshiba to allot its resources to products where it has a high technological advantage"
Hoping , that the Sony's new image Sensor business will slash the market at top & the company continue to make its profit !!
