LG has launched the global variant of the LG Zero smartphone. It had previously launched the Korean variant back in September. LG announced that the device would first be available in Taiwan followed by Asia, Europe and Latin America.
This device is similar to a Class smartphone. What attracts more in this device is its metal body. It also features power and volume rocker buttons. It measures 142x71.8x7.4mm and weighs 147 grams. For connectivity, the LG Zero supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, and Micro-USB.
Coming to the features, this device is powered by a 1.5 RAM for H650E variant and 2GB RAM for F620S 1.2 GHz quad core processor (Snapdragon 410). It features a 5 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels(294 ppi). It comes with an internal storage of 16GB and micro SD card support. It features a 13 MP primary camera and a 8 MP secondary camera. It runs on Android Lollipop v5.1.1. It is powered by a Non removable Li-ion 2050 mAh battery. It comes in Gold, silver, Black and Blue variants.
Announcing the handset, Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said, "At LG, we do not believe in limiting our best technology to just our flagship devices. The LG Zero exhibits innovation not only in its design but in its ability to offer premium features at a competitive price point."
The company adds that the smartphone will continue to be marketed as the LG Class in Germany, Korea, Russia, and Singapore. Unfortunately, LG has announced that it will announce pricing and availability of the Zero at the time of local launch.
