Oppo R5
Oppo today revealed 2 of its latest smartphones R5 and N3 in an event that took place in Singapore. R5 is the slimmest smartphone of the world surpassing the Gionee Elife S5.1 which was 5.1mm thick. Notably, Gionee's Elife S5.1 was recently recognised by Guinness Book of World Records as the slimmest smartphone in the world.
It features a 5.2" Full HD(1080x1920 pixels) AMOLED display that with a pixel density of 423ppi and features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset measures about 148.9 x 74.5 x 4.9 mm and 155g.It is priced at $499 (approximately Rs. 30,500), the company has not revealed the availability details of the Oppo R5.
It is beast comparing processors to other mobiles. It is powered by a Octa-core 1.5GHz Cortex A53 which contains Qualcom Snapdragon 615 chipset. Coming to the storage it has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage and cannot be expanded. It runs on Adreno 405 GPU.
The Handset sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera which comes with Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and 5MP front camera for selfies. It will come with ColorOS 2.0.1 runing on top of Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
