Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime labeled as Made in India lauched at 6,999 in Indian Market

Xiaomi is the 1st Chinese Smartphone firm to setup a manufactuing unit in India. They have set it up with able assistance from Foxconn and have chosen Andhra Pradesh as there 1st ever manufacturing unit. The announcement was made with Hugo Barra, vice president - Global at Xiaomi, Manu Kumar Jain, general manager at Xiaomi India and Chandrababu Naidu, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in the backdrop. So, now the phones will be made locally and will be produce more units.

Display

The Redmi 2 Prime features a 4.7" IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen HD(720 x 1280 px) display with a pixel density of 312PPI. The handset sports dimensions of 134 x 67 x 9 mm (5.28 x 2.64 x 0.35 in) and weighs 133g. Redmi 2 Prime is available in White, Dark gray color variants.

Processor and Memory

It is powered by 64 BIT Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 clocked at 1.2Ghz Cortex-A53 alongside Adreno 306 GPU. It is backedup with 2GB Ram, with an inbuilt memory of 16GB and is expandle upto 32GB with a microSD card slot.

Camera and Battery

The Redmi 2 Prime camera sports a autofocus 8MP Rear camera, LED Flash and 2MP Secondary camera. The rear camera is capable of shooting upto 1080p resolution at 30fps. The front camera can record with 720p resolution at 30fps. The battery is Li-Po 2200 mAh battery battery which comes with Quick Charge 1.0, which speeds up charging by 20%. The device runs Android 4.4 Kitkat alongside MIUI 6.
