In last decade Gaming has became a major part in everyone's life. The Graphics keep on increasing and now games can also be played on portable devices. So, Where is the Future of Gaming heading towards? The future is all about immersing yourself into the game, Now you don't control Game Character with a Gamepad instead you take up his role, You enter into the other world and live the virtual reality



What is Virtual Reality?



Virtual reality is an artificial environment that is created with software and presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts it as a real environment. These provide a rich, highly interactive and integrated experience.


Virtual Reality Video Games

Virtual Reality in Video Games mean you experience the game, You enter into the Virtual World and you live the character's life in the game. These Virtual Reality is enabled by using a variety of devices like Head Mounted Displays, Head Trackers, Motion Trackers, Data Gloves, 3D Controllers, Haptic Devices, Stereoscopic 3D Displays, VR Domes and Virtual Reality Software controlling these devices. 
The VR is best suited for First-Person Shooter games like Battlefield 4, Far Cry 3, Call of Duty series, etc. You exactly see what the character would see and have a hand held gun-like-device in the real world that will be your weapon in the game. Some VR's also involve your participation in sprinting and walking, That will help you no longer do exercises as you play you do it physically.

Oculus Rift

Oculus Rift has been the leading manufacturer in the Virtual Reality industry. It is VR Headset that lets players step inside their favorite games and virtual worlds. The Rift allows 360 deg head tracking and every moment of your head is tracked to create a natural and intuitive experience. Oculus Rift Consumer Price Range Confirmed as Between $200 and $400. The team has released 2 developer versions of its Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset.

Razer Open-Source VR

The device is uniquely Razer in that it is attempting to make VR an open platform for anyone to create their own VR hardware. People then can do whatever they want with the end result - including sell their creations.
This OSVR ecosystem is fully open-source, so regardless of whether you’re interested in working with hardware developmental kit designs, or software plugins for everything from motion control, to game engines, and even stereoscopic video output, you’ll have complete access to all you need.


Omni Virtuix

Omni treadmill, from a company called Virtuix. The company was started before Oculus VR, but it didn't start getting any real attention until it was perceived as something that could be paired with the Oculus Rift. The Oculus Rift is made to use while you sit and have a look at the surroundings in the game. But, the Omni treadmill allows you to move in the Virtual World while you will be running on a circular frame that track your motion. The treadmill is priced at $500.


Sony Project Morpheus 


Sony researcher Richard Marks and Sony Computer Entertainment president of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida revealed the existence of a new prototype VR headset for the PlayStation 4, called Project Morpheus. Using the existing PlayStation Eye camera for positional tracking and the PlayStation Move for 3-D motion controls. The price and release date of the new model were not yet released.
