Micromax Canvas A1 is one of the device from the Android One concept whose aim is to make Android affordable to everyone. Things you have to do before installing Lollipop update on Micromax Canvas A1
- Keep your phone battery level 75% or higher.
- Enable USB debugging mode on the mobile(Go to All apps > Settings > Manage Applications > Development > USB Debugging (check it))

- Backup your phone in recovery using TWRP ot CWM.

Steps to Install the Lollipop Update
- Copy the download 2 zip files into the phone directory and remember the path where they are stored.
- Boot into recovery mode by following steps:
- Power off your device and wait 4-5 seconds.
- Press and Hold Power + Volume Up untile you see a boot animation.
- Press Volume Up three times to select Recovery Mode, and then press Volume Down to confirm booting into Recovery Mode
- From the Recovery Menu select Advance and select “Wipe Dalvik Cache” and also perform “Factory Reset”(make sure you backed up all the data previously)
- Go back to main menu, and select “Install Zip from SD card” and select the CM file where you stored it.
- After it has been installed(Flashed) now install the Google Apps file.
- Now hit "Reboot now" and wait until the phone boots up, it will take atleast 10min of time, so be patient and don't try anything fancy.
