During this years Apple WWDC 2015, The company's annual Developer Summit. Apple introduced new versions for iOS, OSX and WatchOS alongside also introducing new service Apple Music that will compete against the likes of Google Play Music, Pandora, Spotify, Deezer, etc.
iOS 8 was known to be as an update which introduced many new features, but did not bother on the performance of the devices. well, OS 9 predominantly stands for, is not as much the new features, which is usually the focus, but rather speed, optimization and stability this time. iOS 9 will be available to all the devices that got iOS 8, a sight of relief for iPhone 4s users. New improved Siri
The Search on the iPhone has been enhanced, swipe down to get search as we could before but now also a swipe from the right does it. The Search includes things like Siri suggestions, near by so you can search places like restaurants, Gas stations, bars and parking. you can also see some news items. So, this is the way of quickly accessing popular news items without having jump right to search. There have been improvement in the interface of Siri. Now you can search like "show me the photos I took last December " and boom it shows the all the pictures shot in december and also it is smart enough that you can ask something like "Remind me to open Maps when I get in the car," because Siri knows when you got into your car.

Split Screen
Though Apple iPad's are powered by a fast processors, Apple never allowed you to make the most of it. But, now split Windows has arrived to iOS. You can simultaneously work in both the apps. But, for now only free apps support split screen. For supported apps you can adjust the vertical slider to set your desired width for each app. Picture in Picture(PiP) has also been introduced in the new iPad's, but it only supports the videos app on iPhone. PiP is nothing but video is poped out of the app and appears at a part of screen. You can move it anywhere and resize the video and also almost hide the video at any corner of the screen.We get a new animation on the recent apps interface. It is more of stack like view with apps on each other, App screen fades out with the side as you scroll through them and Apps can be closed by swiping them up.

Ultra Battery Saving Mode
Like HTC, Samsung mobiles had a Ultra power saving mode that would reduce the performance to extend battery for long time, here it comes for iPhone, iPads in iOS 9. Ambient light and proximity sensors detect when iPhone is facedown on the table and prevents the screen from turning on, even when you receive a notification.Notes App
The notes app has got quite a few new features. Now you can create checklists in your notes and check uncheck them just by a simple tap. Notes also includes you to add images and videos and also you can insert your own handwriting, Drawing into the new Notes app. These new add ons make the app on par with other Android's Keep app and maybe Evernote.

Proactive Assistant
Apple is introducing something called Proactive Assistant, which can start playing tunes in the morning, knowing that you usually run at that time, as soon as you plug the headphones, and the player will appear on your lock screen. You can ask it to search for recipes, and it can show you your photos from last June, for instant, at your request. This is very privacy-oriented, done only on the device, and doesn't associate with your Apple ID if you have to connect to an external link.
Passbook replaced by Wallet
Now you can use Apple Pay to make purchases with your Discover card or store credit cards, like Kohl’s Charge or JCPenney Credit Card. Add reward cards, like Dunkin’ Donuts DD Perks, Walgreens Balance Rewards, and MyPanera, to your Wallet app and receive and redeem rewards using Apple Pay. And now you can just double-click the Home button when your iPhone is locked to access Wallet and quickly pay with Apple Pay.
Apple Maps Transit
Now you can use public transportation with Maps as your guide. In select cities around the world, a new Transit view shows you lines and stations right on the map. When you plan a route, every step of your trip is laid out from point A to point B. And with the Nearby feature, it’s easier to see what’s around you and decide on places to shop, eat, and more.

News App
iOS 9 adds a new app to your Home screen. News conveniently collects all the stories you want to read, from top news sources, based on topics you’re most interested in — so you no longer need to move from app to app to stay informed. News also combines the rich and immersive design found in print with the interactivity of digital media, letting you enjoy stunningly crafted articles just how the publisher intended.
Earlier iOS 8 required a minimum space of 4.58GB free space to install on any Apple device. but iOS 9 requires only 1.3GB which is a relief for many users. Apple says iOS 9 does even more to efficiently stream new updates to your device without having to first download and unpack them
