"I accidentally put the stylus in cap first and stylus was now very locked into the phone with about 3/4" sticking out. A firm pull freed the stylus but popped off the click mechanism on the end, leaving the cap deep in the holster," wrote one.
Another other user wrote "Yep, did the same thing on accident. It went about halfway in but was caught pretty good. S pen doesn't work now and seems like the phone always thinks the s pen is cradled. A simple mistake and a bad design, I expect to see a lot more of these types of posts."
Samsung Responds
The new design of Stylus has lead to this flaw, this type of mechanism flaw could never happen on a previous note series because the S-Pen doesn't fit into the slot the other way. Samsung replied to BBC on this issue - "We highly recommend our Galaxy Note 5 users follow the instructions in the user guide to ensure they do not experience such an unexpected scenario caused by reinserting the S-Pen in the other way around."
The South Korean newspapers earlier reported that the sales of Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus has been performing well compared to previous handsets. A total of 100,000 units both Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus combined were sold from the launch. The reason is speculated that reasonably low pricing of the phones and Samsung Pay early release in South Korea.
But with this flaw now out on the internet will have the affect on sales in coming days. For now the Note 5 is available in US and Asia, European launch is yet to done, its a tricky task for Samsung will they Ship the same product or do any modifications on S-Pen part of the device. We will have to wait and see. If you are a Samsung Note Series Fan will you buy the Note 5 after noticing of the flaw?? have your say in the comment section.
