List of smartphones that will receive Android Marshmallow update
Google I/O 2015, Google announces latest version of android, the Android Marshmallow. Since the google announced Android Marshmallow, many people got the question that when their smart phone will get the update. So here's the answer.
The NEXUS Series
Nothing surprising here, Google's own nexus line smart phones will be the first one to receive the update. Google already the Android Marshmallow update for

- Nexus 6P
- Nexus player.

The MOTO series
Motorola released the Android lollipop for their devices and Motorola is well known for providing time to time updates. Motorola is the only company which provides pure stock Android after the nexus line. We think that the company's latest flagship device 'Moto Turbo' will be the first Moto device to receive the Android Marshmallow update and then the Moto X and Moto G but unfortunately, according to rumours Moto E 1st gen will not receive the update and the reason behind it may be the lack of hardware specifications .

Android One series
Android One a initiative launched by Google back at I/O 2014. Google promises to keep Android One devices up to date for at least 2 years of their release as they do with Nexus devices. So there's no doubt Android One phones will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

HTC
HTC is the only company to officially announced that their phones will get the Android M. HTC has said that the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9+ will be the first one to get update, followed by the other devices. HTC has not clearly said which other devices will get the update but we guess that the HTC One M8, One E9.
Jeff Gordon, Senior Global Online Communications Manager at HTC, in a tweet on may 28 announced the Android M update for both the smartphones without revealing an exact time-frame. Gordon also confirmed that more HTC devices likely to receive Android M update will be announced soon.
Good news! The HTC One M9 and M9+ will be updated to Android M, with more devices to be announced soon.

OnePlus devices
Both the 2014 model OnePlus One, The OnePlus Two and the recently released OnePlus X are most likely to get the update. It is expected to come via custom skin Oxygen OS/Hydrogen OS update.
