Android 4.4 Kitkat (4.4–4.4.4) was released in September 2013 was the 10th major version of Google's Android OS. The name KitKat came from a promotional tie-in with candy maker Nestle. Nexus 5 was the 1st device to get the Kitkat update when it rolled out on October 31, 2013. It was internally called "Project Svelte" at Google. Later Android KitKat was added with Wearable support.

  • Just say “OK Google” to launch Google Now.
  • Immersive modes, hides status bar and navigation buttons when you play games or watch movies.
  • Faster multi-tasking.
  • Smarter caller ID.
  • Emoji character support on Google Keyboard.
  • You can print to any printer connected to Google Cloud Print or other printers that have Android apps. 
  • The Phone app automatically prioritises your contacts based on the people that you talk to the most.
  • Built-in Android Device Manager app.
  • Built-In Sensors 2 new sensors: Step counter and Step detector.
  • While listening to music, The lock screen displays the Full Screen Album Art on the device.
