Just after a week The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was announced, now it is available to purchase from AT&T store available in gray, camo blue and, camo white colour options. Like last year Samsung and AT&T have paired up again to build a Tough, Strong and durable phone named as Galaxy Active.
It resembles like a Galaxy S6 wearing a very tough rubber armor. The device still identical with same screen size, sensors and software. But it's given a complete physical revamp. S6 Active has 3 physical buttons at the bottom unlike 2 capacitive 1 physical. Around the bezels the buttons have increased a bit making it easy to reach and an additional button is added that can be used to launch any app of your choice.

The texture of the armor wrapped around the phone makes it much easier to hold and yes the device is waterproof, dustproof and Mil-STD-810G-certified protection, which means that you can submerge it to up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
The headphone jack has moved up to the top of the phone while the USB port stays on the bottom, and unlike the GS5 Active there are no longer flaps over either port. The active is taller, wider and thicker than a standard Galaxy S6, but you probably could've guessed that just by looking at it — and you're clearly getting something for that bulk.

The camera at the back is also well protected with metal finish. Samsung and AT&T branding are available at the back and also if the device is placed with screen facing down the arrangement is such that screen doesn't touch the surface of the table or for where you place it. Though much of the hardware and software specs haven't been changed but the battery is given a huge boost with 3,500mAh compared to 2,550mAh of S6.
