Samsung Galaxy A8 with Snapdragon 615, 2GB RAM, 16MP rear-facing camera unveiled in China

Following the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus announcement in August,Earlier today in China, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy A8 – an impressive smartphone with solid specifications that likely won’t break the bank. The Galaxy A8 is the new addition to the Alpha Family alongside Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 features a 5.7" Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen FullHD(1920 x 1080 px) display with a pixel density of 386PPI. The handset sports dimensions of 158 x 76.8 x 5.9 mm (6.22 x 3.02 x 0.23 in) and weighs 151 g (5.33 oz).Galaxy A8 will be available in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Champagne Gold colour variants.

It is powered by 64BIT Octa-core Snapdragon 615 with 4 cores 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & other 4 cores 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 alongside Adreno 405 GPU. It is backedup with 2GB Ram, with an inbuilt memory of 16/32GB and a microSD slot to expand upto 128GB.

The Galaxy A8 camera sports a autofocus 16MP Rear camera, LED Flash and 5MP Secondary camera. It also includes fingerprint sensor which allows you to Screen unlock, account verification, fingerprint payment. The battery is Non-removable Li-Ion 3050 mAh battery. It runs the most recent version of Samsung’s TouchWiz overlay atop Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
