Google had initially released its new Android M operating system in its I/O conference 2015. Following the release, Google has now released an improvised Android M Developer Preview 2.
There are certain new things we can notice in this updated Preview. We can examine the release notes here. Also, we can notice some bugs have been fixed. There are also some security upgrades as well as some API improvisations.These aspects are a much more attracting to the developers.
Google has announced some stunning features which it would implement in the release-ready update such as improved and granular app permissions system that seek permissions only when needed. "Android Pay" , a built in mobile payment system has also been announced which is similiar to Google Wallet but built in at the OS level.
Also, the users can look forward to enhanced power saving logic called "Doze". This logic is for apps that sync while the device is asleep and support for USB.
This update is available for Nexus 5,6 and 9 devices.If your device is running on the previous Android M versio, you can get the update from the built in OTA update screen. If the device isn't running on Android M, you can get the files from here and install it.
Earlier, in the Google I/O 2015 , Android M was annouced and the developer preview was released for a couple of devices.
