Android Marshmallow rollout schedule for Samsung devices leaked
Since Google has announced Android Marshmallow, all the OEM try to bring the update to customers as early as possible, With the nexus devices already getting the update and some of the other OEM's like Motorola, Sony Xperia devices, Huawei, HTC have announced announced their Android marshmallow update schedule for selected devices. But we haven't had a word from Samsung officially.

An image surfaced on the internet listing the Samsung devices that would get Marshmallow and at what time of the year. Though this information cannot be said 100% true but it is something that gives a certain idea. The roll out would be done in 2 phases with 3rd phase still not stated. In the 1st Phase the high-end devices would get the update and in the later phase the mid-range devices are listed to get the update.
  • Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are approved to get Marshmallow update in December 2015
  • Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are approved to get Marshmallow update in January 2015
  • Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are approved to get Marshmallow update in February 2015
  • Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Alpha are waiting for approval and still date has not been finalized
In Phase 2, the devices like Galaxy A8, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3, Galaxy E7, Galaxy E5 are listed but no rollout date is given and are still waiting for approval. The image also confirms that the left Samsung devices, not mentioned in the leaked image, will receive the Marshmallow update in the 3rd phase that will start after the initial testing.
